10 months

I still have 2 more months to call him my baby, right?  Although, look how big he is getting!

James love love loves walking with his push toy.
He can do the "itsy bitsy spider".
He can clap his hands on cue
AND I think he is saying, Mama. Yes, Mama before Dadda. We all know who is more popular!

He is so fun every day. I can't wait till he comes to Texas. Who is up for a boat ride with us????

9 months - such a boy

And I thought taking this photo at 8 months was hard. Look how far away I had to put it and he still went for it!   Loving every moment with James now. He is such a little boy. I looked at him yesterday while feeding him and thought, where did my little baby go!?  What a personality. He can clap and wave goodbye now.... Little things that make him so happy.

8 Months and Full of Love

(sorry guys, forgot to post this last month...)

James turned 8 months on Tuesday. Usually I get a very cute photo like the one below. This time, my gosh, that was a headache. This was taken today (Thursday). First attempt, not so successful.

It was also Valentine's Day today so we had to continue with the photo shoot.  What a love bug.

James has finally mastered crawling and is everywhere and fast!  Next up, walking!

6 Months... He aint no baby anymore!

James is very very very close to sitting up by himself. As you can see below, he can technically sit up while holding onto something...

But what James can do VERY well, is ROLL. All over the place.. When he is in his crib. When he is getting changed. When he has a dirty diaper. The boy will not stay still. Then when you HOLD him down, he does this awful grunt (which sounds painfully like his father) and then he just lies there hating life until you let him go.

We are also trying solid food. And when I say solid, I really mean Applesauce. James hates that too. Work in progress. Aaron will not accept defeat.

We are getting excited for Christmas and to see Bebe and Pops. We are counting down the days: 9 days to go!

Month 5

Well, another month has come and gone WAY too quickly.  James is becoming quite the little boy, but thankfully still very much a baby. We are still 100% on formula, but I see his little mouth starting to make chewing motions and he seems to want to grab what ever it might be that we are eating. He thinks eating chips is really funny (but I hate to tell him, he has a ways to go before he can eat those).

He is also losing a bit of his "laid back' attititude. Not sure if that has to do with day care or just getting older, but he is definitely getting a bit of fire in him!

But, my God, he has such a good personality. He smiles at the slightest things (although he might be a bit bi-polar with his ugly cry face & his super happy face - switching between the two in a matter of seconds!). More often than not, he is just a happy little guy.

Discoveries: Making lots of bubbles, throwing toys on the ground, pulling his ear (please God, don't be an ear infection), pouting his lips like his father and uncle.

Tummy time is becoming much less dramatic, although, we still end in a screaming, spitting fit within 3 minutes.

November will be a busy month and I just want it all to slow down a bit so I can take in each discovery with him.

The Monger

My husband is perhaps the luckiest man alive. Not only did he find ME all the way in Texas, but his life (so far) has been a series of good luck, better luck and amazing luck along the way.

A few weeks ago, a co-worker (who runs a daily show on national radio) sent out an email... put a $$ bid for the chance to play golf with the Prime Minister, all in the name of charity.  That night, Aaron, asked me if he should put in a bid.... bids started at $1,000. I told him he should go for it. He probably wouldn't win the bid, but might as well throw in $1000.

Well, turns out, HE WON THE BID.

Then Jamie (the co-worker who set this up) asks if Aaron might like to cook some lamb rack, crayfish and oysters for the Prime Minister. Okay we say...

So, for $1000, Aaron got to serve the Prime Minister his Harbour Fish Product, he got a shameless plug for Harbour Fish on a national radio show (which would have cost around $1000 - just for the mention), and then he got to spend the rest of the day playing golf and drinking beer with our lovely Prime Minister.

Jamie, who affectionately refers to Aaron as "The Monger" short for "The Dirty Fish Monger" said that by the end of the day, John Key was referring to Aaron as "The Monger..."

Priceless.

Oh, I almost forgot to mention, Mr Lucky Pants then went on to WIN the whole golf tournament and then got his name and his company name in the local paper....
